PET FOOD RECALL
I have owned several dogs throughout my life, and they all have been very healthy. I feed my dogs a combination of name brand dog food, and some homemade, left over human food. I believe that the dog food manufactures are allĀ about making big business out of pet food. If you do some basic research, you can provide the same nutritional diet for your dog or cat, without having to rely on commercial pet food. First they need to have a mostly meat diet. I like to give them steak. I also give them rice, spaggetti, fish and a few other foods which they love. I avoid sweets, but every once in a while my dog finds some old cake or other sweets. She also likes to steal my turtles food, but such is life.
So last week when they had a major pet food recall, I was saved, my dog had been eating a bit more homemade food. I discarded some old cans of dog food, waited another week and my dog never had to suffer any bad food.
I love both dogs and cats, but due to some sinus alergies, I prefer to keep dogs.
I think from now on I will blog about some other topics. Politics is getting old and it is even affecting my own health and blood pressure.
If you want to suggest any other topics, this blog is fair game.

My 3 dogs get dry food most of the time mostly because they go thru a 50lb bag a week and its a lot less expensive. I noticed that the recall included “high quality” (price) brands as well as store brands that are 1/3 of the price. Somebody is getting screwed!!!!
As far as blog topics, feel free. Whatever comes to mind. I cant see why anyone can complain about what you put in your own blog.

I a still think home made food is the safest. I cannot belive that some Vetinarians are trying to tell the public that homemade food will harm your pets. This is rediculous. They claim that it will harm the dogs or cats nutrition and eye sight. I wonder what ever happened before commercial dog food was invented. di we have a lot of blind dogs? These greedy pet food makers deserve what they are getting from this crisis.
