The mentally challenged defense
Today I was listening to a morning show on the local coast fm radio station. They were discussing the topic: If you were on a jury, would you be able to vote the death penalty for a mentally challenged person?
Some people who called in to the show, and they agreed that if somebody is found to be mental challanged, well then he should be sent to jail instead of be served the death penalty. This issue centers around the recent jury conviction and sentence vote for John Cooey to get the death penalty.
This creature and his conscienceless lawyers are trying to use the mental retard defense, by giving him the chance to take an IQ test – After he has been accused of the crime. This gives him and so many other criminals a chance to pretend that they are retarded and use that as a free ticket to a cozy little mental hospital where they can suck up another $50,000 a year of our taxpayers money and be given free drugs for the rest of his life.
What disturbed me is that one the talk show hosts: Tamara, was agreeing that if this jerk failed the test, then his life should be spared. She is evidently a liberal, who enjoys seeing taxpayer money get wasted on useless individuals.
I wonder if she has ever considered the fact that it is so easy for a person to cheat on a test like this, especailly if they are afraid of getting put to death. Also if this creep gets his life spared, all the other perverts and killers are going to cheat on their IQ tests, and claim to be mentally challenged, so that they do not get the death penalty.
What should be made to a law, is that no IQ test results should be considered unless they were taken may years before a crime was permitted and the person was already being treated.
Lord have mercy on this sick world.

Its the lawyers who are trying to say that John Cooey is mentally challenged. They only want to win the defense so that they can make more money. Those type of people could not care less about what happens to our children.

Saying your mentally challenged and getting an I.Q test shouldnt be allowed. This sick man Kidnapped,raped, and buried a 9 year old girl alive! John Coey shouldnt sit in a mental hospital for his sick crime! He should be strapped down on a table and be injected with letal.

“She is evidently a liberal, who enjoys seeing taxpayer money get wasted on useless individuals.” If this is why your (the author of the original piece)upset about the IQ test then you want him to be found mentally challenged because those who are on death row spend millions more of our tax dollars than someone with a life sentence. Techanically, these tests should have been done from the beginning to see if he was competent to stand trial and I’m wondering why they weren’t. And if they were, there is NO reason they should have him do it again because the results were be invalid. I wonder how his lawyers can sleep at night.
And of course he is going to due worse than he really is. And his score (78, I believe) was not in the MR range which means he is probably closer to average intelligence, which makes what he did do even worse.

I agree with what has been said above by the responders to the original blog. For what that monster did to that little girl, there is no justice. Dying by lethal injection is too good for that type of heinous act. Whatsmore, I watched the court procedings on t.v. today and was struck by how smug, and bored the monster’s attorneyes appeared as the judge recanted the horrible details of the crime. His lawyers aren’t human — couldn’t be. It’s attorneys like them that give all lawyers a bad name.

I am so glad to see some excellent comments added to my blog. I have not been updating my blog over the past 2 months, but now I will.
I too have small kids, and perhaps lethal injection is too good for this guy, so he should rot in prison, but they should also castrate him. that should be a requirement for these creeps.

I hope its not because you are mentally challenged. This guy Cooey is a real sick jerk. He hurt a little kid. I think that all Pedofiles should be automatically convicted and sent to death row, regardless of their excuses.
The Pope is in Washinton Today, that is what he is discussing. How we have to get rid of all of these sick, perverted pedofiles.
